Colonial Williamsburg

On May 10th, I drove to Colonial Williamsburg to spend that afternoon and the following morning with several friends of mine who were shooting some b-roll for a film project!  They came from several different states and stopped by Williamsburg to get some footage on their way to Charleston, SC, where they are now filming the rest of the project.  They loaned me a costume (I still need to make a colonial dress!!!), and it was so fun to walk around looking like we belonged there (minus the camera equipment, haha!).  We had a grand time.  It was a lovely weekend.  The weather finally warmed up but it wasn't terribly hot, and it wasn't so cold in the mornings like it had been.  We were concerned about predicted thunderstorms, but they didn't come and the rain held off for the most part!

In the evening, Mr. Walker taught the boys how to play 18th Century cricket.  Afterwards, we danced for a few hours on the Walkers' lawn just across from the Green!  The Walkers live in a cute house right there IN Colonial Williamsburg, and Mr. Walker and his oldest son Levi work as interpreters.  We had an even number of boys and girls, and I enjoyed learning several new English Country dances!

It was so wonderful to see these folks again!  Except for Benjamin (far right), we all worked on "Beyond the Mask" together last year, although I didn't get to know most of the girls very well at that time.

It was a fabulous weekend!  And I can't wait to go back to Williamsburg sometime to visit the Walkers.  It turns out we have a lot of mutual friends!  Such a small world...  :-)
